The Nurture Group Network

As a small charity the efficient management of our finances is an absolute priority.  As a membership organisation and the main provider of materials and publications on nurture
group work we process a large number of small transactions on a daily basis. We also
organise regular national training events and conferences for which the invoice amounts
are significant.

The decision to outsource all our financial management arrangements to Nathan Maknight
has proved to be one of the best we have taken. They have provided an efficient and
reliable service which has regularised our cash flow situation and the regular information
updates allow us to monitor our financial situation in a more detailed way than ever before.

The Banking Code Standards Board

Nathan Maknight has been responsible for the Banking Code Standards Board’s accounting since 1999.  We have always found their staff helpful and efficient.  Our annual audit regularly proceeds smoothly and our auditors compliment us on the accuracy of the management accounts prepared by Nathan Maknight and the quality of the record keeping.

T7 Adventure

T7 is a young start up Tour Operator business that specialises in adventure sports holidays
for the UK young professional market. The nature of our travel business, handling a range
of group types and sizes, dealing with suppliers from a variety of countries within and
outside the EU, and working with the Tour Operator Margin Scheme for our VAT returns
makes our accounting requirements by no means straightforward.

We have worked with Nathan Maknight from a very early stage of our development and
have benefited from invaluable advice regarding the set up of the company and the
creation of an effective accounts structure and accounting processes. The company’s
experience and expertise have helped us ensure that we have managed our inevitably
complex accounting requirements with the minimum of stress. I would have no
hesitation in recommending their services to other businesses.

The Fostering Foundation

When we formed The Fostering Foundation five years ago we asked Nathan Maknight for
help. They constructed all the financial aspects of our business plan and application for
initial bank funding. With their help we were successful in raising the money that we
needed to get us off to a sound start.

Our London region was the first service of The Foundation; recruiting and training carers
and providing homes with them for the children referred to us by London Social Services
Departments.

Nathan Maknight have set up a complete outsourcing service for us from day one. They
raise our invoices; pay our creditors; chase and collect sums owing to us; pay our staff
and deal with our banking – all on the basis of a remote finance office. This leaves us
free to get on with our day-to-day business secure in the knowledge that all the financial aspects of our service are in safe hands. Every week we receive a short financial report
backed up by full management accounts every month showing performance and variance
analysis in all key areas.

Since inception we have been very successful and our service has grown significantly.
We now run three substantial regional services in London, the West Country, and in
Yorkshire. Nathan Maknight have been an integral part of that success and work
alongside us in all our regions providing a full financial and accounting function on
a friendly, efficient, and cost-effective basis. We regard them as an indispensable
member of our team. The relationship works really well.
